Phil Barker's tips on horses, from Miniature Figurines Magazine Vol1 Number 2

From the second issue of Minimag, some notes on horse colours, based on a letter from Phil Barker. This is the sort of information that was hard to come by then - you can from time to time see interesting 70s humbrol enamel paint jobs on horses by trawling through pictures on e-bay.

It seems more useful after posting it than before - it's just a really useful format, more so than books on horse colours. I used it a couple of days ago to paint bay horses for Hinton Hunt British Light Dragoons in Tarletons - they will appear soon on the Hinton Hunter - and it sat happily between the Vallejo eye dropper bottles and the Winsor and Newton hairy sticks.
